Location: Hayes Room Kellogg-Hubbard Library 135 Main ST Montpelier, VT 05602
Description: Gross National Happiness 101 is an Introduction to how we can change what we measure to include what makes us happy. Measures of well-being are now being adopted by communities and governments around the world. We will learn why we need to go beyond Gross Domestic Product to find measures of development that lead to a sustainable and happy planet. Come learn about these important new ideas that show us practical new ways to focus on and increase well-being. What you measure is what you get. Learn how to get more happiness for your family and your community. GNH ideas provide a Survey of 9 Domains of Happiness and a set of well-being tools to evaluate policy and programs. Whether you are a legislator or a mom, you will learn about a new way to look at how our government and how we can build happy communities.
The program is presented by Gross National Happiness USA, a national movement headquartered in Vermont. When was the last time you thought about the “pursuit of happiness”?
